When we first arrived in RioMaggiore, we checked out the lower
village near the train station, then stopped for supper at a
delightful cafe with a precipitous view of the bay, and met up with our host and hostess later in the
evening.
Outside the train station was a small plaza
with a fountain and murals
depicting the laborers who shaped the vast terraces in the area by hand.

the harbor below
Evening rapidly gave way to night and some
haunting views of the local church
From here we went to Volastra with our hosts,
returning to RioMaggiore later in our stay.
