Good Morning! Here is a cute/touching story as you start your day today. Trust all went well yesterday and that you are resting comfortably today. My son (Jared-5) came up to my wife yesterday and as sincerely as he could said, "Mom, I'm concerned about something!" So, Julia calmly said, "Okay honey, what are you concerned about." In Jared fashion, he went and sat down, wiggled a couple of times to get comfortable, straightened up (he is our fastidious and faithful/consistent child) and began to tell her. "Mom, you know those people we met a few days ago, the Morehouses? Well, I am concerned that they don't have a place to sleep. Do you think that they should live with us when we move there?" "What do you mean, honey?" was Julia's reply. "Well, when we were there and we saw their house, I didn't see any beds. I saw desks and tables and chairs, but no beds. Where do they sleep?" Julia went on to describe that the place they saw when Susan gave them a tour was not their home, but their office building. In Jared's mind, an office building should have beds like the Mission for people to sleep in. She had to describe that you had a different house down the street, the one where they let Susan off at on their tour of the neighborhood. It seemed to put his mind at ease, although I don't think we have heard the last of his processing. I can't tell you how precious that little story was to me. Not only is he our fastidious kid, but weeks later he had not reconciled how you all sleep at night and finally had to let us know. We know him as our sensitive kid as well! All he has ever known is the Mission and how we help people who don't have homes sleep at night. It is amazing what kids pick up and how they process it! I praise God for the example that he has seen this far in his little journey! I thought that might kick start your day with a little smile. This weekend is an extremely full one for us. We have our church's 2 year anniversay celebration tonight and tomorrow. I don't expect to have a lot of free time. I will be reviewing things and jot notes along the way as I think of them. God Bless and have a great day! Scott
